What types of sarees do you carry?
We carry a wide range: Kanjivaram silk, Banarasi silk, Tussar, organza, tissue, chanderi, linen, chiffon, georgette, Patola, Paithani, Pochampally Ikat, Bandhani, cotton, and designer sarees. We keep adding new trending styles regularly.
Where is Swathi Design based?
We're a US company headquartered in California. We ship across the United States with flat rate shipping.
How do I pick the right saree for a wedding?
For the main ceremony, Kanjivaram or Banarasi silk in red, maroon, or gold is a safe bet. For lighter events like sangeet, try organza or georgette. Message us on WhatsApp and we'll help you choose.
What's the difference between Kanjivaram and Banarasi?
Kanjivaram sarees come from Tamil Nadu. They're heavier silk with bold colors and temple-style borders. Banarasi sarees are from Varanasi with softer drape and Mughal-inspired brocade patterns.
Are your sarees handwoven?
Many of them are, sourced from weavers in Kanchipuram, Varanasi, and other traditional weaving regions. We also carry machine-woven and semi-handloom options. Each product page has the details.
What's your shipping policy?
We ship across the entire US with flat rate shipping. Ready-to-ship confirmed orders process in 1-3 business days, then transit takes 3-7 business days. Pre-orders and custom items ship after final confirmation and readiness.
Do you accept returns?
We don't offer standard returns. If an item arrives damaged, record an unboxing video showing the package before and during opening. Contact us on WhatsApp within 48 hours of delivery with the video and order number. After review, if confirmed damaged, we'll share the resolution and any return-shipment instructions.
How should I care for silk sarees?
Dry clean only. Store in muslin or cotton cloth, not plastic. Keep away from direct sunlight. Refold along different lines every few months to avoid permanent creases.
